Anybody use CB Performance's Clutch No. 1301

http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=601

I have used the Super disk twice and burned them both up. Need something better.

We've got a 1333 in with a different centre pressed in, seems to cope fine.

I was under the Impression that the 4 pucks grab to hard for Woods applications when you need to feather the clutch in the tight stuff and or hill Climbing? I recall Plumberbill using a 4 puck and did not like it at all.

The 6 puck from kennedy works good for us on a 3.1 and 4.3 powered buggies.
The steel center is slightly concave so that 1 side engages [touches] before the other side.
I think it is smoother than a 4 puck.

I run a 6 puck & stage 2 in the race car & woods buggy .For your turbo car i would run a 6puck & a stage 3 . The 6puck engages smoother then a 4 .

Feather the clutch?
Bugger that, pull the fiddle brake and press the throttle.

im running a 2 stage pressure plate, with a kush lock disc. its like the stock style, the one LA products sells. i had the best luck with that one, everytime it burns it always seems to recover. if you remember you smelt my clutch that one day, and the clutch just keeps grabbing.
what clutch set up is plumberbill running, he just went through this about a year ago and you guys are both running about the same buggies.

Stage 2 and a Kush loc barely lasted a season with the Buggy weight and torque of my motor. I am running a 3 stage and super disk now and its a lot better however still only last a season.

Ive been running a 4 puck for about 4 years now and love it.Ive run kush locks with stage 1,2,3 pressure plates and kept smoking them.I ride wellsville and dont have any problem slipping the clutch when i need to in the tight stuff. Its definatly is alittle more grabby but youll get used to it.

I don't want to run anything heavier than a stage 2 racing because after 3 hours of non stop shifting, it wears on ya.

Stage 4 on ours, it is a wee bit heavy on the old right ankle though.

Honda Acura motor with a built 6 rib running a stage 2 and a 6 puck haven't had any problem yet but it has only been one year.

I have never had any slipping with a stage 1 and a 4-puck, but as soon as I went to a stage 2, it went to hell. When I put the suby into the race buggy I had a stage 2 aluminum pressure plate balanced with the flywheel (these aren't cheap but alot lighter) and destroyed it in about 2 minutes. I felt it slip the first 2 or 3 times I got on it on the road then it never slipped again. it only has 3 heat races and some playing around on it no more than an hour in total and the hard facing is cracked and missing big chunks(thats why it quit slipping). I'm waiting to see what kennedy has to say.

Did Kennady recommend a 4 puck with an Aluminum pressure plate? I would think it would do exactly what it did. I would think that application would require full face contact on the Aluminum.
