Hey, I'm somewhat new to buggy's. I have a leak on the passengers side of my transmission. it is comming form out of the boot at the CV nearest to the tranny. I have never been into one of these so i don't know what's what. i suppose there is a seal between the tranny and the cv. can anyone tell me what's leaking, what the parts needed are called and how to fix the leak? any advice would be helpful.

My guess would be the inner cv flange seal. Very Easy to fix..remove the cv from the transmission cv flange and clean the flange. you will find a seal in the center of the flange.Its round and flat.use a seal removal tool(or small tip flat screwdriver) and pop the seal out.....Call Davis Racing and Gary will be glad to ship you the seals you need to fix...once you have the seals..use a big socket to drive seal back in.(socket should be the same size as the seal.I always fill the flange with grease then install the cv back into the flange...BAM..Leak fixed !

Also...please go into USER CONTROL PANEL and fill out your location on your profile..we all like to know where everyone is from..who knows, we might be nieghbors and it might only be a short drive for one of us to stop by and help you with your buggy. One thing you will find out about us woodsbuggiers..not only do we like to drive them,,most of us love to work on them as well !

theres 3 seals in the bearing flange on tranny,its probaly going to be the one inside the tranny bearing flange

Yea,,,thats what I meant,,the one down inside the cup of the Flange ?

Just pull the old one out, clean the flange, then silicon it up. it works better than those seal plugs

Typically the end of the axel hammers out the center of the seal. If so it will only happen again and can actually pop the seal out of the flange. The axel will then grind the metal ring into the splines, been there done that! As stated before remove it fill the area with silicone. It will flex with flange movement and give when hit by the axel.
