what is the best way to mount the rear cailper all the bought vw brake kits mount it on the back but ive seen several homebuilt brackets with the calipers mounted on the topside? i know top would be better as far as being protected from getting broken off........ but is there any difference in the braking power mounted on top versus mounted on the back? |

i like them on top that way ur brake lines r completely coverd by the trailing arms. if u put them on the back some of ur lines r out in the open and could easily catch on sticks or anything.the way mine r set up i had 2 put them on the back and i am always nevouse bout breakin them |

The bleeder needs to be facing up when bleeding to get the air out. A lot of times the caliper needs removed to do it. |
