Like the Subject says. My buddy just bought a buggy with disks on it. But we don't know what the calipers are. Here is a pic. The only number we found are 288 or 233. The bleeders have been removed and replaced with plugs. In the pic there is a bolt head next to the bleeder. The brake line goes into the center of the piston. And i have no idea what the shinny metal tabs are for. Any ideas?

passat2800 came very close but not exactly thats a 60's ford caliper from an LTD or Thunderbird. the bolt next to the bleeder is a pipe plug thats where the line used to go before someone drilled and tapped to put the line where it is now. wish i could tell you an exact part number but im very certain thats what it is. as for the shiny tabs im not sure those are not stock. |

no prob but just dont hate me when im wrong. its not like i have grandmas old ltd in the garage but ive seen them a million times. I posted the pads to compare to yours to make sure before you go ordering parts or anything. the caliper i found at advance was exactly the same except the line went to the bottom with a banjo style fitting youll just have to look around to figure your exact model and year. |

I figured passat2800 would chime in. from what I have heard and seen from him, I figured this was right up his alley. I really appreciate all the info everyrone puts in. |
